background
The International Day of Peace is a UN sanctioned holiday celebrated on the 21st of September globally.

Sadly, Peace Day is not officially recognised in the UK and is not a day of action for the British people.

It's time to Act!

In 2017, the United Kingdom fell 16 places on the Global Peace Index and is now one of the worlds least peaceful developed nations. This dramatic fall is attributed to a variety of factors including increases in violent crime, impact of terrorism, higher than average recidivism rates and the UK's continued participation in external conflicts. Active citizens like you are at the heart of reversing this trend.
